What do I need to start working with CDpie?
Create an account. Prepare .wav or .mp3 audio files and the artwork 3000x3000 pixels.
Should I pay for your services?
At this moment we provide an annual subscription which includes all our services.
How do I create a release?
You can add your release on your profile page.
What are the artwork requirements?
- The file format should be .jpg or .jpeg;
- The file size should not exceed 10MB;
- The image resolution must be at least 3000 x 3000 pixels;
- The cover should not contain the site address, logos or links to social networks;
- The text on the cover must match the title of the release;
- The image must belong to you.
We will not be able to submit your release if the image on the artwork infringes someone else's copyright.
What are the requirements for audio recordings?
- The file size should not exceed 200MB;
- The file format must be .mp3 or .wav.
Audio recordings must be original. We will not be able to submit your release if it infringes someone's copyright, including containing samples for which you do not have a license to use them for commercial purposes.
Will CDpie take the interest on my music sales?
No. We provide 100% of the royalties you earned in stores.
On which platforms can I get my music using CDpie?
At the moment, we place music on iTunes, Apple Music, Spotify, Amazon, YouTube Music, Pandora, iHeart, Tik Tok, Tidal, Deezer, Napster, UMA and more than a hundred small outlets around the world.
For what exactly will I get royalties for?
By placing music in the store, you will receive royalties for the sales of your albums and tracks.
By placing music in the streamin services, you will receive royalties for the plays of your tracks.
How much can I earn?
Earnings from selling music on streaming services vary from service to service and depends on the number of listens to your music.
How do I increase sales?
This way, store algorithms will understand faster that music is worth showing to someone else.
It's International New Music Day - all or almost all of the important albums are released on Fridays. Consequently, on this day, editors, platform curators and music journalists are studying the novelties more closely.
This will increase the number of listens to your music in the more expensive market segment.
What about my copyright?
CDpie does not claim the copyright of its customers.
All copyrights in audio recordings, lyrics, album covers and stage names remain yours forever.
In accordance with Estonian copyright law, CDpie uses only the limited right to distribute your materials on digital platforms.
When can I get statistics on sales of my music?
Statistics are updated either monthly or quarterly.
For example, we receive sales reports on iTunes 55 days after the end of the month. The sales report for January will be ~ March 25, respectively.
Other stores may send statistics with delay up to 3-4 months.
How long will it take for my release to appear in stores?
Usually accommodation in all stores takes from ten days to several weeks. This is approximate information, as the exact timing depends on the stores.
Does CDpie provide ISRC for my music?
Yes, we provide ISRC for each audio recording free of charge.
